How often does a piano need to be tuned?
Pianos are very sensitive to changes in temperature and humidity. Generally, tuning a piano every six months will keep the piano in tune year round. Pianos that have been moved will need to be tuned after they acclimate to their new environment. New pianos need to be tuned three or four times in the first year to keep tuning stability as the newly constructed parts settle into position.
How long will it take to tune my piano?
Please allow us a two hour window to do a standard piano tuning. If the service will take longer, it is probably due to some repair that is required before the tuning can take place.
What forms of payment is accepted?
Cash, checks, and credit/debit cards are all accepted.
Can I get a discount on my piano service?
"Like" our Facebook page to see the special offers we will have throughout the year. Discounts are available for churches, schools, and customers who refer others to S&A Piano Service. To receive the referral discount, have your contact mention your name when they schedule their service with us. After their service appointment, you will be emailed a voucher for you to use on your next piano service.
How much does it cost to tune or fix my piano?
Our standard tuning price is $120.00. Additional charges may apply depending on the condition of the piano. Repairs are billed at an hourly rate ($50) plus the cost of any required parts. If parts need to be ordered, we will contact you with a repair appointment time once the parts are available.
